Withdrawal authorization, 1799 October 29.

Authorization signed by John Jay to the "Superintendents of the affairs of the Brothertown Indians" authorizing them to receive £860.6.4 from the State Treasury to provide a school, a lawyer, and general assistance for the Indians. It states also that a full report will be made by the superintendents. An addendum states that some expenditures were made which were not strictly authorized, but that they are seen as proper and will be allowed.
